Edward Nemetz

I am qualified to serve on the Woodbury City Council because of my experience listening to and working to serve city residents while serving on the Woodbury Planning Commission, my engineering and management background, and my interest in addressing future city challenges.

I grew up on the east side of St. Paul and have lived in Woodbury, Minnesota for over 11 years.  I am married and raised two adult children who attended Woodbury schools.  My family has enjoyed making our home in Woodbury and we take advantage of the many shopping, dining, and recreational opportunities that the city offers.

Occupation:

  • Structural and Civil Engineer working on industrial and commercial projects.  Currently employed at a national construction and engineering firm specializing in the power and industrial industries.

Community Involvement:

  • Served on the Woodbury Planning Commission from 2009 through 2014
  • Planning Commission Chair 2014
  • Volunteers for a nonprofit adult day care program for elderly and disabled adults
  • Volunteered for Woodbury Band programs during children’s school years

Education:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering – University of Minnesota
  • Bachelor of Arts in Architecture – University of Minnesota
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Finance – University of St. Thomas
